Build off this notion by treating your apprentices just like you would a colleague in your workplace. Giving students responsibility and asking them to make mature decisions will elicit the adult-like behavior you are seeking. For your opening ritual, try holding a business meeting at the start of every session. By the end of the apprenticeship, students should be able to call their own meeting, hold a vote, and make critical business decisions without your help!
